Becoming Involved

The UK Chapter of the international Association of arson Investigators membership is now over 800 members. There is a very broad range of organisations that belong to the Chapter and the wealth of experience that we have to offer each other is immense. The Chapter is only as successful as its membership. Therefore we need you to become involved. Below are some ways for you to become involved with your Chapter:

Regional Co-ordinators

A number of memebers throughout the UK have already volunteered to co-ordinate activities in their region. We therefore do not currentley have any vacancies for Regional Co-ordinators.

Articles and/or case histories

We would really appreciate members of the Chapter submitting articles or case histories for the newsletter and for the "members only" secure section of this website. Please email any articles for the newsletter to Jo Morrissey at: Newsletter

For case histories to be used in the secure section of the website please email Nick Carey at: Nick Carey

Speakers for meetings

Some members of the Chapter have already volunteered to give presentation on their specialty at meetings. However, we need members to assist us with the training element of future meeting. This maybe an interesting case history that you have investigated, or perhaps a subject that you specialise in already that would be of benefit to other members. For example: Fire dynamics, accelerant detection, forensic issues/awareness, chemistry, electricity, DNA, laboratory analysis etc.
